ATLANTA — Gov. Brian Kemp has announced the first coronavirus death in Georgia.

He was described in a release as a 67-year-old man who had been hospitalized at WellStar Kennestone in Cobb County.

“Marty, the girls, and I are praying for the family and loved ones of this individual during this incredibly difficult time,” said Governor Kemp. “I know the medical professionals on site did everything that they could, and I greatly appreciate their efforts. As our state continues to address this pandemic, I urge Georgians to remain calm and support their neighbors and communities. We are in this fight together.”

This news is really close to me because I do live in Georgia .My prayers go out to the man who caught the coronavirus in Cobb County and lost his life .To his family 🙏 prayers to you. My family also lives in Cobb County so I hope that they are doing their best to stay away from any way of contacting the coronavirus .I hope that everyone is being very cautious and continue to wash your hands and keep your mouth covered when you cough.

I am a daily survivor of mental illness. So bad that I don't leave my cabin unless it's with someone I feel completely safe with . I just want everyone to see that even with my illness I am still able to have a life and so can others that have or are suffering with mental illness.
