Let’s Talk About These Truck Stops For A Moment Please

I feel like we wouldn’t have items to survive on our shelves if it wasn’t for our dedicated truck drivers. I come from a family of nothing but truck drivers. They spend day in and out on these roads carrying things we need to survive.

I recently have came out of my cabin and been on the road for 8 months frequenting these different establishments for food and showers and parking to sleep til morning for delivering loads. Loads that contain many different items people need like shelves for stores, tobacco products , large rolls of paper, produce , hot shot Amazon items and more . It really discouraged me to find out many of these establishments have No Hot Water, Rude customer service and definitely not enough parking area for our drivers. This is very upsetting to me that these drivers are not able to aquire these things. I am not the only one disturbed by this .

Just pay attention as you ride down these highways and you see all the trucks on ramps and on the side of the road trying to get rest to deliver our items . The reason they are there is because there is no where safe for them to park and sleep . The rest areas aren’t even big enough for these drivers.

I would like for someone to address this situation. I am not referring to small mom and pops establishments. I am speaking in big chains like PILOT FLYING J and LOVES.

As I won’t point fingers to who lacked what but don’t put PRIDE BEHIND YOUR BUSINESS NAME IF YOU CANT CONSIDER THESE VERY IMPORTANT DRIVERS NEEDS !
